çınarpark samandıra

LOCATION İSTANBUL – TÜRKİYE
SIZE46 870 m²
YEAR2024

The project area is situated in Samandıra, within the Sancaktepe district on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. It is located on a former nursery site, adjacent to the Samandıra metro station. The area is surrounded by a park zone with abundant trees along the stream to the southeast and bordered by business centers, commercial areas, and residential buildings, along with Ahmet Yesevi Street to the northwest.

The design integrates buildings of varying heights facing the park in diverse configurations. Courtyards and gardens created by this arrangement blend seamlessly with the park, ensuring a continuous green environment. The design features a dynamic silhouette with various combinations of colors, windows, and balconies, achieved through a straightforward facade standardization that appears intricate. This design approach allows the project to establish its identity by distinguishing itself from its surroundings. Plinths added as one or two-story structures, and the fragmented mass-façade design, contribute to a design that resonates with human scale.

A Proposal for New Urban Living

A vision inspired by nature has been proposed in an area distinguished by its impressive natural setting and surrounded by a park to the south. This proposes a new urban lifestyle emphasizing nature, prioritizing the relationship with nature, and offering experiences based on different scenarios.

Interacting with Nature through Different Experiences

In this context, natural experiences can be enjoyed through various dimensions such as vegetable gardens, hydroponic agriculture, greenhouses, orchards, fragrance gardens, biological ponds, vine-covered pergolas, barbecue areas, and outdoor activity zones.

Sustainability and Ecology

In this context, an innovative and sustainable urban life can be created by considering ecological approaches and drawing insights from ecocity examples. Factors such as solar energy, waste recycling, natural landscaping, ecological restoration, passive cooling, and energy-efficient design can be integrated into the project.

Natural Contributions to Spatial Design

The landscape texture of the urban park area can extend into gardens and courtyards within the project site, and from there to green plinths, terraces, green balconies, and green roofs, ensuring access to greenery throughout the design.

Settlement Close to Nature

To foster a connection with nature in daily life, a design approach that respects human scale and emphasizes fundamental natural elements such as landscape, place, and soil is essential.

Economy, Efficiency, Functionality, and Standardization

Considering these criteria, a functional and rational design can be developed that adheres to current market standards in the production industry—minimal, cost-effective, and efficiently utilizing every square meter of space.
