LOCATION | İSTANBUL – TÜRKİYE |
SIZE | 4500 m² |
YEAR | 2024 |
The project aims to renovate and improve a neighborhood park in Güngören.
Minimal, low-cost interventions and additions were made to the park, which currently has various problems such as excessive hard surfaces, lack of green space, retaining walls, lack of trees, uncanny and dysfunctional. Thus, with the problems solved, it has been transformed into a park that addresses environmental needs and strengthens its natural texture.
Walls were minimized. Planted and made less conspicuous with darker colors.
Hard floor areas were reduced. The natural texture of the park was strengthened with planting and afforestation proposals.
The end of the large retaining wall in the central area of the site was stepped to create an event lecture hall that serves the event square in front of it. Thus, accessibility between the two levels was increased.
The functional richness of the park was increased by adding a kiosk, children’s playground and seating tables.
