İHYA FOUNDATION BUILDING

Our design alternatives for a foundation building in Fatih – Efforts to obtain efficient spaces and a good mass within a complex-shaped parcel boundary, under restrictive zoning conditions

The project was designed as the service building of the İhya Solidarity Service Foundation located in Kocamustafa Pasha, Fatih. The plot area is restrictive and because of its location on the historical peninsula, the gravity limitations were effective in the formation of the project. In the building, which consists of ground floor + 3 floors, there are multi-purpose hall, workshop and training classes, reading areas, administrative units, cafeteria and technical units.

The fact that the parcel area is small, but the requirement program is very intense, required a very sensitive and efficient use of space at every point of the project. The continuity of the street has been ensured with the alternatives with bay windows, and the number of perspectives captured from the street has been increased with the corner windows. Due to its being on a corner plot, attention was paid to have an inviting design that catches the road and welcomes it.
