The main purpose of the design realized on a hillside with a view of a natural bay in Mersin is to construct qualified spaces where people can spend a peaceful and enjoyable time by approaching the natural data sensitively, evaluating the potentials of the area correctly, and meeting the demand for dense construction.
In this context, spaces suitable for different functions have been designed in the area. Detached type (Block C), twin villa types (Block B, D, E), and row block types (Block A) are preferred in the houses, which are placed in a staggered manner to make maximum use of the view, and each type has private gardens and pools.
Apart from housing, social facilities, sports fields, swimming pools, children’s playgrounds and commercial units were designed.
Throughout the design, wide balconies, terraces with eaves, overhangs and tree-lined streets are used to protect against adverse climatic effects.
Various materials from Mediterranean local architecture such as stone, wood, white and cream colored plaster and contemporary materials such as colored aluminum joinery and large windows are blended to create a modern façade design that can be identified with the spirit of its location.
