Built upon a sophisticated relationship with the lake, this residence reflects its environmental context through its structure, layout, and atmosphere. The design meticulously crafts a dialogue between natural stone, wood, and a robust landscape, utilizing expansive windows and terraces to emphasize a harmonious fusion with the surroundings.

The spatial organization prioritizes quality of volume over conventional floor usage. Rather than utilizing the attic, all bedrooms are designed on the main floor with high ceilings to maximize the lake view and natural light. All common social areas are positioned on the lower level to establish a strong physical connection with the garden and the lakefront. This strategic separation ensures that private zones remain serene while social spaces interact directly with the topography.

At the heart of the home, a high-ceilinged “great room” welcomes visitors with an immediate view of the lake through a transparent facade. The open-concept arrangement of the kitchen, dining, and living areas facilitates a fluid interior experience that blurs the boundaries with the outdoors. The structural system, conceived as masonry stone and timber, provides both a sense of permanence and a warm, natural aesthetic. Through its spacious verandas and garden-access rooms, the project offers a refined living experience rooted in contextual sensitivity.
