Located in the heart of an untouched forest in the Paşamandıra district of Beykoz, Istanbul, this project is a contemporary "Senior Living Village" designed for active seniors, centered on a high-quality dialogue with nature. The primary motivation of the design is not only to offer high-comfort housing but to construct a holistic wellness experience that prioritizes physical, mental, and social health. Through its fragmented mass composition and a layout strategy that adapts sensitively to the topography, the project transforms the natural environment from a mere backdrop into an active component of daily life.
The overall organization of the settlement is built upon thematic "living clusters" that respond to different user needs and mobility levels. These clusters, with their modular accommodation units permeating the forest texture, offer residents absolute privacy and uninterrupted scenic dominance. The Wellness Center and Boutique Hotel unit serves as the technical and medical core of the village, establishing a professional wellness infrastructure by combining medical support services with therapy and spa facilities. The "Farm-to-Table" restaurant and its surrounding organic farming areas encourage residents' active participation in a sustainable production cycle, creating a social ground that nurtures both the joy of living and ecological consciousness.
The social amenity axis, designed as the heart of collective living, is enriched with outdoor activity squares, expansive hiking trails, meditation gardens, and active outdoor sports zones. The balanced combination of natural stone, wood, and glass preferred in the architecture blurs the boundaries between the structures and their environment, defining airy and luminous interiors. Through its holistic health approach, pedagogically designed social squares, and its rational relationship with the environment, the Paşamandıra Senior Living Village presents a sustainable and visionary model for senior living standards in contemporary urban planning.
